Purchasing:

The purchasing process will adhere to customer requirements, the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001:2008 Standard under clause 7.4 Purchasing, as well as the methods established within EMN Defense Services’ quality management system (e.g., supplier evaluations, etc.). In the event that material is not readily available from the Navy, EMN Defense Services personnel will notify the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) as stated within the contract. All necessary records will be maintained.

Training:

Training will adhere to customer requirements, the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001:2008 Standard under clause 6.2.2 Competence, Awareness and Training, as well as the methods established within EMN Defense Services’ quality management system. Training will be conducted on an on-the-job basis as required. Employees hired by EMN Defense Services will have the requisite job qualifications and experience to perform the work required by the contract to meet or exceed the customer’s requirements. This allows the organization as a whole to plan, manage, measure and improve. Implementation of EMN Defense Services ISO Quality Management System enhances customer satisfaction, achieves consistency and improves internal processes.

The Program Manager

will be the focal point for the resolution of customer concerns. The Program Manager with the assistance of the Site Manager will investigate customer concerns and determine corrective and preventive action as required. This process will be documented and maintained in a file.

The Program Manager

will be the focal point for nonconformance resulting from subcontractor activities. The Program Manager will coordinate corrective action in accordance with terms of the subcontract and methods established within EMN Defense Services’ quality management system. Major nonconformance could result in removal of the subcontractor from the contract. Actions will be documented and maintained in the appropriate subcontractor files.

Design and Development Control:

Design and development process will adhere to customer requirements, the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001:2008 Standard under clause 7.3 Design and Development, as well as the methods established within EMN Defense Services’ quality management system. All necessary records will be maintained.

Control of Customer Supplied Equipment:

The handling of government-furnished property/equipment (GFP/GFE) will adhere to customer requirements, the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001:2008 Standard under clause 7.5.4 Customer Property, as well as the methods established within EMN Defense Services’ quality management system.

Control of Nonconforming Product:

Upon notification or discovery of a nonconformance to customer requirements, the Site Manager is responsible for notifying the Program Manager and the applicable personnel (e.g., EMN Defense Services personnel, the subcontractor, etc.). The Site Manager will take corrective action in accordance with the terms of the contract, the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001:2008 Standard under clause 7.6 Control of Non-Conforming Product, and the methods established within EMN Defense Services’ quality management system.

Document Control:

The document control process will adhere to customer requirements, the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001:2008 Standard under clauses 4.2 and 4.3, Document Control and Records, as well as the methods established within EMN Defense Services’ quality management system.

Inspection:

As necessary, the Site Manager or designee will inspect the work being performed to ensure contract compliance. In the event that discrepancies are discovered, the Site Manager will bring these discrepancies to the attention of the applicable personnel, as well as the Program Manager. Corrective and preventive actions will be taken as required. All necessary records will be maintained associated with the results of inspections.
